Why practice Yoga?
A yoga practice is usually made up of breathing practices, Asanas (physical yoga postures) and a meditation or a relaxation at the end. Your own practice could be ten minutes or a couple of hours. It really depends on what you need at any given time.
Yoga Asanas are mindful movements that stretch and strengthen the body. They work at many levels, at a physical level, on the musculo-skeletal, cardiovascular and circulatory, digestive, endocrine or hormonal system and the nervous system. Asanas also stimulate energy in the body, increasing the flow of energy and allowing it to flow more freely.
Combined with a Pranayama or Breathing practice the effect is intensified. A simple breathing practice like the Complete Breath can transform ones state of mind instantly!
Over time, you can go deeper into your yoga practice with meditation and Yoga Philosophy.
Ultimately, a regular yoga practice can help you to be the best that you can be …… Now is the time 🙂
