Our yoga centre is based at Purecamping on the Loop Head Peninsula. Yoga is an integral part of the offering on our beautiful “Cosy Camping” Site in County Clare in the West of Ireland.
You can decide to have a wild “spa” experience and combine some camping (cosy or otherwise) with a yoga class, a sauna, a labyrinth walk and a walk in the woods making it the best retreat to be had in Ireland (well, we think anyway :)) Many of our tents have stoves to keep you warm on the colder nights, and for those who would like a bit more comfort, you could try our eco-cabin.
Purecamping is a 15 minute walk to Querrin shore at the mouth of the great Shannon river, where you can swim at the pier or stroll along the shoreline taking in views of the Kerry mountains. If you are looking for a sandy cove, then you can hop on your bike and within ten minutes, you are at Glasheen beach further West. At Purecamping, you are in a haven within a haven and you will be spoilt for choice for things to do and see.
The towns of Kilkee and Carrigaholt (famous for Carrigaholt Dolphinwatch) are a ten minute drive away and both provide a wide range of choice of award winning restaurants, bars and cafes. A weekly farmers market in Kilrush on Thursday’s can provide you with local produce to create your own gourmet meal cooked in our campers kitchen. If fish is your thing, grab your ingredients for your evening meal at SeaLyons fish shop on Carrigaholt pier.
Kilbaha is 25 minutes to the West and is the last village on the peninsula before you meet the Atlantic Ocean. From there you could visit the Kilbaha Gallery and Craft Shop on your way to Loop Head Lighthouse. Make sure to stop at the Bridges of Ross on the way to see the last remaining sea arch of which there were three, once upon a time.
